In the end, if you're a fan of motorbike bike racing, or the MotoGP series as a whole, then you're in for a fairly decent game, just don't expect a perfect racing experience.

All of Valentino Rossis bikes of his career are in the game, the game features the new, as well as the old tracks like Estoril, South African GP, The old Assen track, Laguna Seca etc. It has a challenge mode where one can relive past performances of Valentino as well as new events that has happened in recent years. Oh and if one is tired of motorcycle racing theres always the Monza Rally one can have a go at. Career mode it is the same as in past years. You start off in the Moto 3 and work your way up to become the next big Champion. If you are a fan of the MotoGP I reccomend having a go at the game.

Milestone and Valentino Rossi have created an interesting motorsport cocktail. This one is really not "just" a renamed version of MotoGP 16, but so far the best and most comprehensive motorcycle „almost-simulation“, Italians have ever made.

Sure getting to experience the VR46 Academy life is cool but the fun stops there, the game play is cumbersome and the graphics look like something my PS1 could have handled. I've only done two of the career races so far and I am already bored, it brings none of the excitement you get from watching a real MotoGP race. Big waste of money, I doubt I will play it again.

Valentino Rossi: The Game proved to be a solid bikes racing game, with lots of content both regarding MotoGP's latest season and Valentino Rossi's entire career. It offers a rewarding driving model and lots of different modes drawing from the sport's latest 20 years. It slips on the technical side, though, and with the underwhelming car driving sections. Despite this, it's surely the best and most complete motorbike racing game today.

It certainly has some elements that can be preserved intact for future versions of the MotoGP franchise, which undoubtedly must pay bigger attention to the realism and simulation factor. Nevertheless, I think Valentino Rossi himself must be quite happy with the overall result of the game.

A solid racing game that offers more content than any of the previous releases in the series. The single-player offering is vastly improved thanks to a much deeper, personal and varied career mode, and the introduction of the Valentino Rossi experience which gives players a genuine insight into one of the sport’s most iconic riders. It’s just a shame that the game’s engine can’t quite can’t quite keep up the pace with all of Milestone’s other improvements.

Milestone is Milestone is Milestone: “The Doctor”’s license aside this racing experience consists of a lot of recycling and very little progress.

The game has tons of options and modes, and it offers plenty of bikes and riders from the past. Still, the game has some flaws in in the gameplay, especially if you look at the AI and at the physics.

Valentino Rossi: The Game is a great game for fans of Valentino Rossi and Moto GP enthusiasts. Enriched by an incredible number of content, the game uses a graphics and physics engine out of step with the times.
