En SkyDrift los jugadores pilotan uno de varios aviones en una competición de carreras ficticia. La jugabilidad es similar a la de otros juegos de carreras de aviones como Plane Crazy y el modo de vuelo de Diddy Kong Racing. El juego cuenta con 33 fases de desafío para un solo jugador, así como con un modo multijugador en línea. Aunque el objetivo principal son las carreras, los combates aéreos desempeñan un papel importante en algunos de los modos de juego de SkyDrift. Los jugadores son recompensados con el impulso, que proporciona una ráfaga temporal de velocidad, al volar acrobáticamente, a poca altura del suelo, o al derribar a los oponentes. You will want an X-Box style controller to play for sure (go ahead, just drop $20 and get one), and it's hard to predict whether there will ever be enough players to make Multiplayer a real option. That said, the single player campaign is a lot of fun. Definitely a game you'll tell your friends about.

So you are flying with planes but you are still forced to fly in a "tube" If you fly off far away, the game redirects you but often into a rock wall.
Racing arcade game brings fun and good playability – the biggest drawback is the absent of a local multiplayer – this kind of game is crying for it.
