Despite its numerous bugs, Pure Farming 2018 is a game made with love. It even shows many novelties we'd like to see in other games.
It's always heartwarming to see a new addition in the Farm Sim genre that offers evolving, expanding, and rewarding experience. Pure Farming 2018 is in my opinion that game, but it lacks multiplayer experience, and that is not acceptable from a game in this age.
A very capable farming simulator that offers enough entertainment value for long sessions while still having deep mechanics. From a technical standpoint it's all pretty bare bones; the graphics are average at best and the physics are very limited. The game does feel very complete and because of the great tutorial you'll understand everything that goes into managing your own farm in no time. Love farming? Then you'll like this one.
There’s nothing inherently fun about Pure Farming 2018, the fun comes from wherever you, the player, can obtain it. For me, like I said before, it was listening to country music and watching the days wind down one after the other. Despite that slow grind based enjoyment though, this title doesn’t offer a lot in the way of keeping me engaged. It’s a game that you’ll play and probably like for a time, but your enjoyment will slowly peter out until you want to play something that does more to keep your attention.
Farming is hard work and takes time, and it’s no different here. You’re going to have to put in the hours to have a large, successful and profitable farm, but if you’re willing to do so, you’ll enjoy all that there is to do in Pure Farming 2018 that the competition simply doesn’t offer. If mod support and multiplayer are included in the hopeful sequel, there will be some serious farm sim competition in the genre.
Even though what we get here is a rich and well crafted simulation of farming life, the technical issues along with some repetition make Pure Farming 18 suitable only for fans of the genre.
Pure Farming 2018 stands up to its closest competitor, with a game that offers us one of the greatest farm simulators of Xbox One. The number of maps and their possibilities are the best that developers can offer us.
Pure Farming 2018 offers good and varied locations with an immediate gameplay, but an unsatisfying technical production and some controls and AI problems make it a letdown for lovers of the genre.
Pure Farming 2018 works as an alternative to Farming Simulator, as it offers a more accessible and diverse experience than its competitor. However, it also lacks in other aspects, including a poor visual presentation and a disappointing short amount of options.
For a series that’s defined by its tardiness, Pure Farming 2018 leans a little too heavily on the slow side for our liking. This is a perfect first choice for newcomers, though, as its campaign walks you through every single element of agricultural “action” – and there’s a helluva lot to wrap your head around. The various environments could do with a little more visual identity, but they offer unique challenges that make them worth playing. And while the quick-fix Challenge mode won’t keep purists occupied for long, we certainly appreciate the attempt at distilling the title’s gameplay into short session bursts.
In spite of many bugs, Pure Farming 2018 is a worthy alternative to Farming Simulator, but the franchise from Focus Home Interactive ultimately remains the best.
Pure Farming 2018 is the best farming sim title that I’ve played on this generation of console. If you’ve always been curious about trying one of these games then this will be a great place to start, and the seasoned professional will adore the content and challenges – with the added bonus of taking in farming ideas from other countries. It’s a bit of a shame about the lack of multiplayer though.
Great game with lots to do. Decent graphics for a simulator game, outstanding sound design, great user interface that makes even the mostGreat game with lots to do. Decent graphics for a simulator game, outstanding sound design, great user interface that makes even the most tedious activities--like plowing--a pleasure to do, interesting machinery, and a ton of crops to collect. There are some bugs that the developers are already working on and they have improved the game in many ways after listening to player feedback, and they have detailed even more changes to come. Most complaints have been or will be addressed in patches to come. Well worth the price of admission!
Pure Farming is a long story and a development on the run. If the game was originally released a year ago, the decision to postpone itsPure Farming is a long story and a development on the run. If the game was originally released a year ago, the decision to postpone its release date to refine the whole could well pay off. The testers are unanimous, PF is THE game that propels agricultural simulation in a new graphic area. And not least since it is the environment Unity, mastered by the Polish studio IceFlames, which drives the whole. No need to present this graphics engine, we refer you in the test version preview, edited a few weeks ago.The preview version had some limitations: the "first farm" mode was absent, the unfinalized farm challenges, and the free game mode, called "sandbox", was limited to the "Germany" card. But that's not all, and I think this is the most important point of the game: the import menu of mods, unveiled a few days ago, was not available. On the options side, everything is there!Depending on your hardware configuration, you can fine-tune the graphics settings. Know that I tested the game on 2 very different configurations, and that it remained at least playable on the smallest (based on a small Intel Core i3 backed with 8GB of RAM and an Nvidia GT640, in short the Josephine's config). Unity is not a particularly greedy engine. You also have the ability to manage vehicle radio via an mp3 stream or your own playlist on your hard drive. Ideal for listening to news and playing at the same time.In addition to the "first farm" mode for novices who discover the world of agricultural simulations and who will be guided through a scripted tutorial to apprehend materials and commands, a "farm challenges" mode offers specific missions in race against the watch. But the mode that will seduce the vast majority of players is the free mode. This is nothing more than the career mode of Farming Simulator. And to attack this mode, you must first choose your map and some options like the starting budget, the weather and the time of day. The choice of the starting map is important because each of them has its own cultures and materials. So on the map Colombia you will be brought to grow mainly coffee and hemp. The Japan map will offer rice and cherries, the Italian map allows the cultivation of vines and olives and finally the USA map, the largest and most complete, offers more "traditional" cultures. For those who have pre-ordered the game, the Germany card, offered for the occasion, gives access to sheep farming and canola cultivation.Note that the design of maps does not have much to do with competing titles and that the sets have much more relief and details, which give them a more realistic side.On the farm side, Pure Farming offers a different approach that some will consider a step ahead, with animals that are born, evolve, die and produce that varies with the age of the animals. Note that for the moment, the corn crop is not present but it should arrive with the addition of future maps.To help you in your tasks, you can call on workers. If they do their job well, like other agricultural simulations, they are limited to 1 per field.Pure Farming puts you in the shoes of a farmer responsible for all these farms and able to travel around the world. Also you can juggle from one card to another, by plane. Each trip will cost you $ 1200, to which you will have to add some tickets if you also want to move equipment with you.In the end the long-awaited Pure Farming is likely to find its place alongside existing simulations. Simple without being simplistic, the 3 game modes can gauge the difficulty. The gameplay and approach of farming offered make this first version, a game of choice for the solo player. While waiting for the future development of the multiplayer function. My entire review on simulagri.fr
Though very aggravating to learn at first because of the terrible tutorial, Pure Farming 2018 is nevertheless an excellent farming simulator that brings new content and ideas to the table.

I was looking for something of an improvement, something different and I must say they almost of delivered. I like the different farms and crops (rice and hemp and grapes)The new machines they have are cool too, although there are not that many of the usual crowd you can see in FS. I guess getting a license is not an easy thing. It is something that can disappoint. It looks nice and it plays quite all right. It can be rough though. Still, quite a lot of bugs to fix - it seems though they are working on it. No multiplayer is a big thing and the AI needs to be fixed. With all of that, I think if fixed it can be really solid. Consider me as a hopeful and curious fan.Edit +1 for a second patch they just announced!

The graphic is satisfying the gameplay looks nice. The game has a campaign mode so such an amateur farming player like me it actually helped me to learn as much as possible from this game. Developers need to fix a few bug but it's nothing serious and I'm sure that they'll do it because they're enthusiastic and it looks like they listen to their fans. The game's further merit is that it offers plenty of activities so in nutshell I recommend it not just for farming possessed fanatics but for beginners as well.

I was surprised with the graphic – a really good looking farming sim and with stable 60 FPS - impressive. Also, more than one map to work on – that’s another surprise. You can work on your farm in Japan, Colombia, Italy. What’s cool about it is the fact they are trying hard to make them different. Expect to plant rice and harvest hemp – stuff new to me. The game doesn’t have that many machines as FS but they just started – expecting all of the brands to be in it is just silly. One thing that made me write this review is the devs – go to Steam and check the forums. They do respond – quite unusual these days. So yeah – I like it even though isn’t finished yet but I believe it shows promise. 10 goes for the devs – keep it up! Maybe we will finally get the true competitor to FS.
This games has nice graghIcs. Nice physics, and gameplay looks nice. Of couse this is not Farming Simulator, but it's good alternative for FS.
Pure Farming 2018 might not be the best simulator around, but it does come close. Farming Simulator 17 offers a consistent quality to its environmental design that PF2018 stumbles on, and it’s slightly more respectful of the player’s time (seriously, an hour for a field is ludicrous). What Pure Farming does instead is offer more of just about everything any would-be sim aficionado needs to get into the genre.
I bought this at launch and first experiences weren't great, but since the devs released a patch over the weekend it's a lot better. I likeI bought this at launch and first experiences weren't great, but since the devs released a patch over the weekend it's a lot better. I like how the crops are different to farming sim, and how the first farm mode makes the farming more interesting, always giving you something to do instead of leaving you to figure it out for yourself. There are still bugs but the devs are very active on steam and so far they have been quick with fixes. So overall i think the game is not perfect now but its a solid start and with time and more updates, it will be a solid competitor to FS.
Pure Farming 2018 is a very deep and diverse farming experience, but it doesn’t come without fault. The visuals are far from impressive, the draw distance remains very limited, and the game can become overly repetitive. With that to the side, Pure Farming 2018 accomplishes everything it sets out to achieve. Simply put, this is multitasking made fun.
Pure Farming 2018 is a title ripe with content - five maps guarantee dozens of hours of fun, while the amount of crops to grow and the variety of ways of earning money is more than satisfying. It's a pity that the game features so few machines and suffers from some technical issues. Still - for a debut, it is pretty impressive.
I have to be in the mood to play a farming game because it isn’t my favourite genre. Don’t get me wrong if the said farming game is enjoyableI have to be in the mood to play a farming game because it isn’t my favourite genre. Don’t get me wrong if the said farming game is enjoyable and holds my attention then I do thoroughly enjoy my time with that said game, and thankfully Pure Farming 2018 does exactly that. In order to make a successful farming game I feel like it should include a lot of realism when it comes to the gameplay and Pure Farming 2018 has that in abundance. Every little detail matters here and that makes the immersion in the game very high indeed. Whilst the gameplay is brilliant I think it could have been even better if there was more equipment for you to use, but that really is only a small gripe. The main reason why I’m not a massive fan of these types of games is because I think they make doing certain things too complicated, but Pure Farming 2018 doesn’t do that and the simplicity with the controls also helps and makes it more enjoyable as well. Something that really impressed me about this game was the amount of customisation that’s present throughout. You can literally change anything you want and in my opinion this added freedom makes this game stand out from the other game’s in the genre somewhat. In terms of content the game has more than enough to keep you occupied and you will find yourself staying invested for quite a while, which is what you would expect from a game of this ilk. I was however a little disappointed that there were no multiplayer options present and in my opinion I think the developers have missed a trick here because it would have given the game even more replayability and it would have also made itself accessible to more gamers. The presentation side of the game definitely tickled my fancy right from the get go and that was mainly down to the amount of effort that’s been put in here. Visually the game looks great and is packed full of little details and when you combine that with the very good Sound design it does a fantastic job of making the farming life come alive. At the end of the day Pure Farming 2018 surprised me a great deal because I didn’t think I would enjoy the game as much as I did. They make doing things very accessible and by not over complicating things it meant that I never got frustrated doing certain jobs which often happened with the other games I’ve played like this before. If you’re a fan of these types of games then I thoroughly recommend that you give it a go and I would even recommend this game to people who aren’t massive fans as well.

Pure Farming 2018 is proposed on the market with a first chapter that tries to break the waters in a situation that could start to become stagnant. If on one hand try to propose new crops and environments different from the main competitor, on the other hand forget the online mode and does not integrate all the innovations developed in recent years by Giants guys. We can only hope that the next year will lead to more lush crops.
Time will tell how this game develops but I truly hope that they continue the support and add more content and features to Pure Farming 2018, hopefully, to make it the fantastic game it so nearly is. It's already got much more crop diversity then Farming Sim 17, and the potential to better it is there for all to see.
