Fight feels good using both the Pro controller and the controls on the side of the Switch. Have not played MK since the arcades, and this feels great. Would recommended to any MK fans. Note, I have not played story mode, just straight on kombat.

I am tired of everyone saying oh microtransactions are all this game is but you are WRONG you dont have to pay for ANYTHING but the game itself if you dont want to buy skins thats cool play story mode or just play online to get coins an online fight (considering you win) gives about 1 to 2 thousand coins PER win each match lasts about 2-3 mins so stop **** about it if you dont want to buy stuff THEN DONT but dont put a 1 star review on a game saying that you HAVE to pay for skins/content ETC. if you dont want to you dont have to just earn it legit by playing. also to the people complaining that melinna/smoke arent in the game they dont have to be considering melinna is dead and smoke isnt really smoke anymore and both have a high probability to being added as dlc (to people who say netherrealm has said they wont add dlc twice Smoke is not Smoke anymore he is Enenra) Also the people who say the krypt is loot crates you are sorta right although its not the type of loot crate your thinking off like cod black ops where you have to buy them as you can just buy krypt boxes with Koins/soul fragments/ hearts. 8/10 game my only problem with it is theres no takeda or kung jin but they might be dlc in kombat pack 2.

This mortal combat is still tons of fun. Realistic graphics, top-notch body and facial animations, extremely inventive violence and perfect sound effects. Ed Boon and Co. still make the best fighting games in town.

There are a number of Beat ’em Ups on the market, but nothing compares to Mortal Kombat. If you like the exaggerated splatter effects like me, you will always feel this special tension in the fights, because the next head could roll or organs could fly around. I'm quite surprised by the story mode, I wouldn't have expected such a high level. The six hours or so entertained me wonderfully, also because the combat system is well-developed and fair. Tower and online modes can't quite reach the campaign's high bar. Nevertheless, Ed Boon and his team have once again succeeded in creating a great Beat ’em Up that will captivate me for a long time to come.

As it stands, Mortal Kombat 11 is violent and extremely brutal but at the same time insidiously sexy and suave. Its more grown-up take on matters enhances its cast’s appeal and that’s all the personal preference I need to keep up with often unfair gameplay.

Mortal Kombat 11 is an incredible fighting game, and Shiver Entertainment’s work in porting the game to Switch is beyond impressive. I wish that I could’ve enjoyed playing it so much more, but the arduous grind for cosmetics permeates so strongly through the backbone of this game that picking it up to play at all can be frustrating. NetherRealm has promised a patch to make the grind easier, but all it seems to do is increase the rate you gain currency without removing the always-online restrictions. I hope that someday they relax a bit more and make Towers of Time more playable on the go, because right now I can’t recommend Mortal Kombat on Switch nearly as much as I want to.

I am not a huge fan of bloody violence, but I am still attracted by MK11's beautiful art style, great graphics, interesting game systems, and tons of game modes, including a very detailed teaching mode. No doubt it is the best of the whole series.

It's further proof that MK, much like Street Fighter, has just as much relevance today as it did in the '90s thanks to the way its evolved while retaining its core identity. On Switch, it's a performance-first experience that nails 60fps, and boasts every mode and mechanic from other versions, only with a noticeable downgrade in the aesthetics department. The heavy-handed application of microtransactions makes customisation far less appealing than it should, but if NetherRealm can redress the balance, MK11 could be a contender for the best fighter on Nintendo Switch.

Mortal Kombat 11 is a first-class fighting game experience, featuring rock-solid core mechanics, impressive production values, and a story that wouldn’t be out of place alongside the summer’s biggest blockbusters. Of course, the game also suffers from some of the drawbacks of big-budget game development, including grindy customization and tacked-on microtransactions, but that stuff is largely superfluous. Beneath the triple-A fat, Mortal Kombat’s bloody heart still beats as strong as ever.

A stellar fighting game and is one of the best ones ever made in my opinion. The depth and variety it offers are unparalleled, even by the likes of Injustice 2, another NetherRealm creation.
