Hearts of Iron III: Their Finest Hour te pone de nuevo en el asiento del comandante durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Gana la guerra con nuevas unidades, estrategias y modos de juego mejorados.
Destruye a tus enemigos desde dentro con un sistema de espionaje ampliado que incluye nuevas misiones y operaciones encubiertas. Un nuevo modo de plan de batalla te permite cargar planes históricos o dibujar los tuyos propios; todos ellos se pueden compartir con los aliados en tiempo real durante el modo multijugador.
Junto con la jugabilidad mejorada hay dos nuevos escenarios de batalla y un nuevo modo de juego personalizado que te permite saltar directamente a la acción.

Rather limited options for doing anything, and unless you know the tricks you'll be doing absolutely nothing the first half of the game.3. This game is drudgery galore. It's main game-mechanic consist of organizing your troops into a proper chain of command. Doing this is about as time-consuming as in real life. A clunky and unintuitive interface makes this chore into your own personal hell.4. HoI3 is spent waiting for something interesting to happen, but it never does.5. It can seem overwhelming at first. Persevere, as it is the multi-levelled complexity that makes this an intriguing game to play. Re-playability is a strong point.
