Kevin Conroy is once again perfect as Batman and I loved what they did with Mark Hamill's Joker. In the end, this is a fantastic game that truly lives up to its predecessors

Playing as Batman? Awesome. Playing as Batman through repetitive, empty missions? Less awesome. Playing as the Batmobile? Awful.

Porting issues aside, Batman: Arkham Knight is a decent enough game. It's not the spectacular swansong we hoped for from Rocksteady, but it's another solid - if predictable - slice of Arkham gameplay, with a couple of great sections along the way.

I would recommend this game to any hardcore Batman fan.

Despite the rusting Batmobile at some points, the Rocksteady developers managed to say Batman’s goodbye to Batman flawlessly. All thanks to the powerful story moments that work better than in the previous attempts.

The Bat could not have hoped for a better send off. Graphically astounding, narratively compelling, and featuring two utility belts full of new gadgets. This is bat-time very, very well spent.

So obviously there were a few things that I didn't like about Arkham Knight and some things that I wished were done better, but overall I did enjoy my time with the game.

Arkham Knight is certainly a bigger, and in many ways a better game than its predecessors, but those attempts to make it ‘more badass’ do more harm than good. Even so, any frustrations I have with Arkham Knight don’t take away from the fact that I was unable to stop playing for four days straight, frequently in awe. It’s a stunning achievement in many ways, a game of ridiculous polish and obvious effort, and its best moments are good enough to make the worst moments worth bearing.

Arkham Knight is the latest, most improved and seemingly last installment in the Arkham series. The whole, justified controversy over its failed launch on PC doesn't do this excellent game justice. We would urge any gamer to refrain from purchasing this game (retail), as there are massive performance issues, which are currently being worked on. For the time being, although the story and gameplay mechanics are splendid, we are forced to cap our rating up to 30. Just like the game's framerate.

Arkham Knight is distressingly inorganic. Continuing the predictable trend the franchise, the game learns the wrong lessons from its predecessors.

Aside from a few sputters during the animation when entering the Batmobile and the FPS cap at 30, I didn’t experience any of the problems many PC players were experiencing with the game. If any dark, rainy, dirty and downtrodden city could be beautiful, it’s Gotham in Arkham Knight.

After reading all of the negative reviews, I can sum all of them up with one simple word, WHINERS. Everything they're complaining about makes no sense and leads me to wonder how much the game they actually played thus far. Nearly all of the rants are about the smallest insignificant details or they're simply asking for too much. They're like Yelp reviews who give restaurants 1 star for not giving them water within 2 minutes of sitting down.Now, for a more honest review...The good:-Improved graphics: Graphics are definitely next generation quality with improved textures and backgrounds. Watching the waves in the water was mesmerizing in itself. The new Batsuit was one of the best additions and it also got rid of the underwear on the outside look too and seems so much more tactical.-Expanded cityscape: Gotham just got more interesting now that it's an actual city. You got the financial district that is Founder's Island, it's own Chinatown and other little tidbits like a downtown reminiscent of Times Square.-Batmobile action: It's basically a tank which makes sense. Batman needs fire power and driving this thing around is awesome. The funniest thing is that if you're ever cornered on the street or just come across people you don't want to fight, call the batmobile and you can just incapacitate them.-Side missions: So much more to do than just Riddle missions. Stopping TwoFace and Penguin along with other villains like Firefly and Deathstroke-Overall storyline: Good story with Scarecrow unleashing a massive attack on Gotham. It's suspenseful and chaotic as Batman traverses the city to stop him. Some of it is pretty predictable but this isn't a Dan Brown novel. It's a Batman video game.The bad:-Identity of Arkham Knight: SPOILER ALERT!!!!! This was arguably the biggest disappointment in the game. When they first announced this character, everyone speculated it being Jason Todd but since Rocksteady stressed 'original' character we figured it wouldn't be. That was until you fight him a low and behold, it is essentially the Under the Red Hood Storyline. Just slightly altered where Todd is manipulated to hate Batman instead.-Platform issues: PC got the short-end on this whole ordeal.-Saving: I wasn't a fan of the saving process in this game. The only time the game would save was if there was progress being made in the game which makes sense but sometimes, after finishing a mission I'd just explore a bit and not complete anything and when I go to quit the game will warn me about when I last save but won't give me an option to save before quitting. Basically, saving is relied on completing a mission/objective which i found to be quite annoying.-Playable characters: Even though Nightwing and Robin are in this game, we can't play with these characters for extended period of time. If Batman happens to team up with his partner, then we can switch to them during fights but that's it. They also work it into the story where Batman constantly refuses help from his counterparts as well which is even more annoying. Why there weren't more 'team' missions when you have these characters doesn't make sense. It's like a tease.-Batsuits: One thing the last Arkham game got right was being able to explore the batcave and all that came with it. While Batman doesn't has a few more remote bases like the clocktower and the Wayne Tower, you can't really change suits or anything like that within the game and you have to exit the game in order to do so. Not cool.Overall, with the amount of content it has, it's worth the full price.

The games only main highlights include a most of the time smooth combat system on console editions, stunning visuals and great performances by Hamill and Conroy. Overall the game is worth a single play through, but with not much replay-ability after completion This big budget conclusion falls below expectations

The game itself is extremely mediocre. 30fps cap which I don't get seeing that if you were to play this game, you'd have decent specs. There's also some optimization issues. A gaming PC is supposed to be the titan of gaming, not a PS4 for god's sake. From what I heard, you can head into the game files and do some tinkering to unlock the cap. I would still wait for a price drop, or at least strip it of the frame rate cap.

The technical aspects are not only eye-popping but they’re also quite stable. The graphics are slick, the sound is stellar, the control is rock solid, and the gameplay variety is downright tremendous. I love the blending of puzzle, stealth, action, and adventure, and you have to give mad crazy props to the overall game design. I still say the story could be less predictable (perhaps give the player a little more credit in terms of literary comprehension) and the Batmobile, as awesome as it can be, is just overdone.

All the review copies sent out to magazines and web reviewers seem to be the PS4 version. From reading online, it also seems that the Console versions actually have better graphical features than the PC version, so even if you have a top end PC card, the performance you can expect this game to run, will be less than the consoles.An absolute joke of a port, locked to 30fps by default, and I doubt this will be fixed anytime soon. A few patches won't be enough to fix this disaster!

The results are imperfect, resulting in an Arkham game that's not as good as its predecessors. But it's still plenty of fun...It's absolutely worth making this trip to Gotham. You'll just wish you could do it without the car.

Like a movie it's best enjoyed by just letting the narrative take you on the journey rather than trying to guess the ending. Im loving it so far though.Visuals: cant fault a thing. I tried raising the maximum frame rate to 60 fps using the ini file, but this only causes more severe stuttering especially when you're driving the batmobile. Also, use of the batmobile should not be required in so many sections of the game. I would much prefer being given the OPTION to use the batmobile, rather than being forced to use it.
